Student Project, 2010
Prompted by an assignment to find inspiration in the New York City subway system and build a solution based in visual design, I designed new signage to immediately orient riders the moment they arrived at a station, and help carry them all the way to their desired exit. Being careful to respect not only the iconic look and feel of the Unimark system, the pieces are designed to be built in standard, modular sizes and can make use of existing mounting hardware.
